The Work Experience Program introduces secondary school students to the diverse career opportunities available within the Northern Territory Government.
This program provides work experience with an NT Government department for up to 1 week.
Who can apply
Students currently enrolled at a secondary school located in the Northern Territory.
You must be able to:
- attend a readiness workshop prior to starting the work experience week
- complete the program feedback form at the end of your work experience week.

- Complete the Work Experience Program application form by the relevant due date.
Application stages
- Apply: Submit your application through the online form above.
- Shortlist: Applications will be sent to relevant schools for shortlisting.
- Review: The Early Careers team reviews shortlisted applicants and matches them with an appropriate NT Government department.
- Outcome: The Early Careers team notifies students and school careers coordinator of the outcome.
