Flying to and from the Territory

    Flying to the Northern Territory with major international and domestic airlines is a breeze!

    The Territory's peak travel season is from June to August, so keep that in mind when booking flights.

    Domestic air travel

    The NT has two airports that allow domestic travel, Darwin International Airport and Alice Springs Airport. Located in two of the Territory's largest cities they easily accessible from a variety of destinations all over the country.

    Major domestic airlines operate flights to and from the Eastern states, South Australia, and Western Australia, regional airlines cover some of the smaller destinations.

    Remote locations in the Northern Territory, including Gove and Maningrida, can be reached by flights operated by AirNorth.

    Domestic entry requirements to the NT

    There are laws that stop some fruits, vegetables and plants from crossing over borders.

    You will find quarantine bins at all airports for the disposal of fruit from interstate.

    International air travel
