Back to School Payment
Each child enrolled in school or registered for home-schooling may be eligible for the Back to School Payment Scheme. The scheme provides $200 per annum to be spent on educational goods and services for each child in Transition through to year 12.
Sports Voucher
Students from Transition to Year 12 in urban areas are eligible to apply for two $100 Sport Vouchers each year per child.
Learn to Swim Vouchers
Children under 5 years old who are not enrolled in school are eligible to apply for a $100 Learn to Swim Voucher twice a year.
The vouchers can be used for swimming lessons with a registered swim activity provider.
Swimming in Schools Program
From 2025 all children in Years 1 to 6 have the opportunity to develop skills in swimming and water safety in school.

NT Seniors Recognition Scheme
As a member of the NT Seniors Recognition Scheme, you get a $550 prepaid card each financial year to spend as you choose.

NT Parks and reserves free entry for Territorians
Territorians enjoy free entry to all parks and reserves managed by the NT Government year-round. Proof of residency may be required.
NT National Parks free entry for Territorians
Northern Territory residents enjoy free entry in Kakadu National Park and Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
Residents are still required to book and pay for camping and multi-day walks. Proof of residency may be requested by Rangers.

Home owner grants
The Territory has some of the best home owner grants in the country.
Whether you are buying an established home, building, need a low deposit home loan or qualify for a stamp duty exception - there are a number of options on offer.
City car parking
Most of the parking throughout the Territory is free and often unlimited.
Darwin CBD parking is free and unlimited all weekend except in Zone A on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
Palmerston - Parking is free in both time restricted and all-day parking areas across Palmerston.
Zone tax offset
Territorians may be eligible for a zone tax offset.
