If you are a graduate with strong analytical, creative, research or administrative skills, the Northern Territory Government graduate program offers the next step in building a meaningful career.
There are multiple graduate positions available in the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet and Department of Treasury and Finance. You can apply for a place in both departments. The selection process is undertaken separately for each department.
This program offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic policy development and economic management at the highest level in the Territory.
- 12-month full-time contract with the NT Government.
- Commencement salary starting at $71,746.

To apply for the DTF and CMC graduate program you must:
- be an Australian citizen, or hold permanent residency status or an appropriate visa that has working rights and is valid for the duration of the program.
- provide evidence your qualification is recognised in Australia if attained overseas.
- be completing this year or have completed a Bachelor degree or higher at an Australian university in the last 3 years in any of the following fields:
- accounting
- actuarial studies
- arts
- business (specialising in accounting, commerce or economics)/business administration
- commerce, trade and investment
- communications and marketing
- criminology
- data analytics
- disaster management
- economics
- environmental science/environmental management
- finance/financial management
- international relations
- law
- mathematics
- policy and First Nations policy
- political science/politics
- emergency management/risk management
- public policy/policy evaluation/public administration.

Provide a 1 page cover letter to the 'Selection panel' addressing the following selection criteria:
- demonstrate conceptual, analytical and research skills
- be able to apply academic knowledge and concepts to practical situations
- have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- work as part of a team and organise your own workload to meet deadlines
- be able to prepare concise and accurate documents with attention to detail
