As a School Counsellor, you will provide support to schools to improve the wellbeing and safety of students, collaborating closely with school wellbeing teams and families. You will be based predominantly in schools, working under corporate based conditions with flexibility for potential travel between schools and corporate offices in both urban and regional areas. As a School Social Worker, you will provide support to schools to improve the wellbeing and safety of students through evidence-based interventions, as part of a multi-tiered system of support. You’ll provide consultation, planning, and short-term individual support to address student behaviour, wellbeing and social emotional concerns that may impact educational outcomes.
You will be working under corporate based conditions with flexibility for travel to remote schools. Travel to remote schools may require travel by four-wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads or light aircraft and include overnight stays in remote communities of up to four days, training will be provided by the Department of Education and Training. All applicants are required to hold a current Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) from SAFE NT or have the ability to obtain.

Senior Psychologists provide professional leadership in the delivery of psychology services to schools with a focus on supporting students presenting with complex and challenging behaviour concerns.
