Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services
Are you an allied health or teaching professional who wants to ensure all children are welcomed into an inclusive environment and can learn to their full potential?
Student Wellbeing and Inclusion Programs and Services (SWIPS) provides differentiated support services to reform inclusion and improve engagement and access to learning for children, students and communities.
There are a range of essential front-line and leadership positions available for school counsellors, social workers, psychologists, teachers, occupational therapists and speech pathologists in Darwin , Alice Springs or the regional centres of Katherine , Nhulunbuy or Tennant Creek .
The Assistant Director Client Services lead a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals and specialist teaching staff focused on student wellbeing and inclusion. Assistant Directors use their leadership, collaboration and influencing skills to line manage their team and coordinate the services provided by the team to schools to ensure children and students are achieving their full potential through inclusive learning environments. They establish a positive workplace culture and build productive relationships with system leaders and schools across the region.
A range of locations are available in the Northern Territory for the Assistant Director Client Services position, with positions currently available in Darwin, Tennant Creek, and Alice Springs.

The School Counsellor is an essential position working with schools and young people to build educators' capacity and understanding of student wellbeing and safety. School Counsellors work within a Multi-tiered System of Support framework to provide professional expertise and evidence-based practices that support students to maximise their educational outcomes.
A range of School Counsellor positions are available for early career and experienced practitioners in various locations and depending on the experience/qualifications of successful applicants.

Consultation, comprehensive assessment, treatment planning and short-term therapeutic interventions are provided to students with learning, behaviour and personal/social competence concerns that may be having a direct impact on educational outcomes. Inclusion Advisor Psychologists work within a Multi-tiered System of Support framework to build capacity of educators to support students to maximise their educational outcomes.
A range of Psychologist positions are available for early career and more experienced practitioners in various locations and depending on the experience and qualifications of successful applicants.

Senior Psychologists provide professional leadership in the delivery of psychology services to schools with a focus on supporting students presenting with complex and challenging behaviour concerns. Consultation, comprehensive assessment, treatment planning and short-term therapeutic interventions are provided to students with complex and challenging behaviour concerns that may be having a direct impact on educational outcomes.
In addition to playing a lead role supporting complex cases, Senior Psychologists supervise psychology practitioners and support ethical, evidence based best practice, while working within a Multi-Tiered System of Support framework to build capacity of educators to support students to maximise their educational outcomes.

PBI Coaches build the capacity of educators to support the wellbeing and safety of students with diverse needs and maximise their educational outcomes. PBI Coaches implement whole of schools approaches and use knowledge of wellbeing, safety and behaviour approaches to provide advice, coaching, mentoring and professional development to school leaders, teachers and support staff.
Applicants may request to be based in various locations throughout the NT.
