William Bridgeman

William Bridgeman, Senior Regional Project Officer within the Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet, Big Rivers region in Katherine has called the Territory his home for five years. William's journey began after relocating from Toowoomba, Queensland, seeking work experience before university.

"My initial intent was to gain office environment experience before university. I accepted a role with the Department of Housing and Community Development and discovered my passion for serving the community within the Public Sector.”

Reflecting on the benefits of his tenure, William highlighted the diverse work environments and projects he's been involved in across the Big Rivers Region in the Territory.

“Working in the Northern Territory Public Sector (NTPS) exposed me to a wide spectrum of stakeholders and projects. From core business activities to community development projects in both regular and challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic and emergency management situations, these experiences significantly broadened my capabilities.”

When asked for advice for potential NTPS applicants, William urged considering regional opportunities within the Territory.

“Definitely do it and consider working in one of the regions.”

Reflecting on the region's charm, William praised the people and culture.
