Community Resilience and Engagement Command

The Community Resilience and Engagement Command (CREC) in the NT Police offers a unique and fulfilling opportunity to engage proactively with diverse communities across the Northern Territory.

The CREC helps strengthen partnerships with Police and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Territorians.

A key focus of CREC is to provide employment opportunities and pathways for ATSI employees in the Northern Territory Police.  The CREC are also involved in cultural reform and supports initiatives like the Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO) Program.

Employees in this command benefit from intensive mentoring and support, ensuring they are well-equipped to make a meaningful impact.

The role not only allows you to contribute to the safety and well-being of the community but also to play a key part in driving positive cultural change within the NT Police.

With a remit that covers the entire Northern Territory, working closely with Aboriginal sworn officers and public servants, this command provides a platform for professional growth and the chance to make a lasting difference in promoting resilience and engagement within the communities you serve.

With staff based in both Darwin and Alice Springs, the command helps promote engagement by ensuring community views are encouraged, understood and considered.

Through engagement and consultation with our local communities and stakeholders, we can better understand community views and how we can protect and serve the people of the Northern Territory.
